Career options and study pathways

The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support develops the knowledge and skills required to support people in a community, residential or aged care setting.

Career outcomes include:

  • Disability Carer
  • Aged Care Worker
  • Individual Carer and Support Worker
  • Assistant in Nursing
  • Community Care Worker or Assistant
  • Residential Support Worker
  • Personal Care Giver
  • Home Respite Care Worker

The CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support develops skills for practice completing specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community-based environments.

Career outcomes include:

  • Care Team Leader
  • Residential Care Worker 
  • Support Worker (Community Services) 
  • Care Supervisor 
  • Accommodation Support Worker 
  • Personal Care Worker 
  • Residential Care Officer
  • Day Activity Worker 

On successful completion of the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support or the CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support and subject to meeting entry requirements, you may progress to the HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing.

Healthcare traineeships

Local Aged Care facilities in the Bega Valley, Liverpool, Southern Highlands and Wollongong regions are now seeking new traineeship employees. A traineeship allows you to commence work and get paid while you study a nationally recognised qualification.
