University Entrance Certificate - 2014
Bachelor of Nursing - Current

Without UOW College I wouldn't be in my dream degree. Something that has stood out for me is the high level of support and help that your receive all throughout College and Uni life. That support has meant a lot to me, without it I probably wouldn't have made it into the Bachelor of Nursing at UOW.

University Access Program - 2012
Bachelor of Exercise Science - 2015
Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology - 2017

I attended UOW College in 2012 and took part in the University Access Program (UAP). When I finished school, I decided that jumping into university wasn't the right place for at the point and time, so instead I travelled, worked and completed a Certificate III & IV in Personal Training. After some time and experience, I felt like it was my time to take on the challenge and experience of University, but it had been a long while since I had been studying and wasn't sure how I would cope jumping straight into this environment again. It was then that I came across the UOW College alternative pathway option and I am so thankful that I did. The UAP prepared me in more ways than I imagined, as it catered to preparing my skills for the style and academic standards of University, prepared me the relevant areas of study for the degree I wanted to undergo, and once successfully completing my UAP course, I was guaranteed entry into my nominated degree.

While at UOW College, I felt completely part of the University as I had access to all the same things as the Uni students and would go enjoy all the functions they put on, which essentially helped me smoothly transition into the Uni life and I even noticed I had a massive advantage in my first year classes as I was prepared in all the right ways. I am now in my final year of my Exercise Science degree and so grateful that it all started with my experience at UOW College, I highly recommend it to anyone.

Foundation Studies - 2011
Bachelor of Exercise Science - Current

Speedy responses and heaps of student support services at UOWC reinforced my interest in health science. UOWC provided me with an alternative pathway to university and the field that I was passionate in. The following years of life I have had in university shaped me to be a different person than I was.
