Introducing UOW College’s AI Search Assistant

Finding information about courses, scholarships, campus services, or events shouldn’t feel like a scavenger hunt. Between lectures, assignments, work, and everyday life, students already have a lot to juggle. That’s why UOW College has introduced an AI Search Assistant, a smarter, faster way to find answers directly from the website.

---

The Assistant searches across all UOW College content, including web pages, PDFs, forms, and official policies, allowing you to find exactly what you need with minimal clicks and a smoother experience. This enables students to receive instant, accurate results.

Whether you’re checking course details, looking for scholarships, or searching for a student form, the assistant delivers information quickly and clearly. No more guessing where to look or navigating through menus, everything you need is right at your fingertips.

How it works

Unlike traditional search tools that simply match keywords, the AI Search Assistant understands the intent behind your questions. It recognises whether you’re asking about course information, student support services, or forms, and provides results that are relevant and reliable.

“AI Search makes it easier and faster for students to find the information they need when they need it, saving time and reducing frustration.” – Felix, Global Chief Operating Officer

Getting started

Using the AI Search Assistant is simple:

1. 1. Find the AI Search Assistant on the homepage.
   2. Type your question.
   3. Get your answer and explore results such as web pages, PDFs, or forms.

You can also share feedback by giving a thumbs up or thumbs down. This helps the assistant improve and provide even better answers.

One of the most exciting features is multilingual support. Ask a question in another language and the assistant will reply in the same language, making it easier for international students to access the information they need without barriers.

Why students will love it

The AI Search Assistant is perfect for students who:

• • Want quick answers without multiple clicks
  • Aren’t sure where to find specific information
  • Are exploring options across different courses or services

It’s designed to save time and support a smoother browsing experience, making the website simple and effortless to navigate.

For most questions, the assistant provides instant answers, while students can still access support from the College’s administration team when needed. It adds another easy and convenient way to find information and support.

“At UOW College, we’re embracing AI to ensure our digital platforms meet students’ expectations. Technology should simplify life, provide timely information, and support learning. The AI Search Assistant is just one way we’re making the website more helpful and inclusive.” – Louise, Executive Director, Business Transformation
