This unique course offers flexible online study and industry-led training.

The FitPro program is aimed at mature age students, 20 years and over (if you are under 20 years, check out our Certificate III in Fitness), to ensure students are self-motivated and have the discipline to manage self-directed study. Ideally, students will also have had some experience and/or a keen interest in fitness.

UOW College recognises that the SIS40215 Certificate IV in Fitness is considered the most sought after fitness qualification by employers and is required for insurance purposes for Personal Trainers. Accordingly, we have developed this unique ‘FitPro program’ that allows you to complete all qualification requirements for a Personal Trainer within one year of study.

You will need

  • A computer / laptop (not a tablet device)
  • Access to good internet connection to undertake online learning
  • Course Text Books;
  • Student Workbooks and Templates;
  • Access to your online leaner portal;
  • Access to online programming software;
  • Access to class PowerPoint presentations, webinar recordings, notes and handouts; and,
  • UOW College shirt and name badge (to be worn during the Work Placement component)

Session 1 - Course Fee is $1,750 – Statement of Attainment in SIS30315 Certificate III in Fitness.  

Session 2 & 3 -  Course Fees range from $0 - $2750* - SIS40215 Certificate IV in Fitness is subsidised by the NSW Government under the Smart and Skilled funding scheme for eligible students. To check your eligibility for NSW Government Smart and Skilled funding, refer to the Smart and Skilled website. *For students NOT eligible for Smart and Skilled funding the Session 2 & 3 Course Fee is $8,750.

  • Only available to domestic students;
  • Minimum age 20 years (if you are under 20 years, check out our Certificate III in Fitness); and,
  • Successfully demonstrate academic and course suitability at interview.
