A Nationally recognised Higher Education Diploma qualification is awarded upon completion, which can be used to pursue entry level career opportunities.

What’s different about each course?

A Diploma of Business (Domestic) is a 3-session program with a duration of 12 months. This program is for individuals who may not have met the direct entry requirements to the relevant UOW bachelor program, or the Diploma of Business Fast Track (Domestic). This program is also appropriate for individuals who would prefer to extend their study commitments over the whole year and qualify for university entrance in a less intensive time frame.

This course is applicable to any domestic students who are eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP).

What is a Commonwealth Support Place (CSP)?

Under a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), the Australian government will pay for part of your tuition fees (called the subsidy amount), and you pay the rest (called the student contribution). To be eligible for a CSP for a Diploma, you must be one of the following:

  • an Australian citizen, who be resident in Australia for at least one unit of study contributing to their course of study
  • a New Zealand citizen, who will be resident in Australia for the duration of their unit(s) of study
  • a permanent visa holder, who will be resident in Australia for the duration of their unit(s) of study.

The Diploma of Business Fast Track (Domestic) is a 2-session program with a duration of 7-9 months. This program is for individuals who may not have met the direct entry requirements to the relevant UOW bachelor program. Intensive study patterns allow Diploma graduates to qualify for university entrance in minimum time.

This course is only applicable to domestic students who are eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP).
