Getting started as a new student

The process of getting started is different depending on which course you are studying. To begin, check the name of the course on your offer letter and follow the step-by-step guide below for your course.

Higher Education Diplomas and University Preparation Programs

If you are enrolling in any of the following courses, follow the step-by-step guide below.

  • Diploma of Arts, Social Science and Humanities
  • Diploma of Business
  • Diploma of Information Technology
  • Diploma of Engineering
  • Diploma of Medical and Health Sciences
  • Diploma of Science
  • Foundation Studies
  • University Entrance Program

Our team conducts orientation at the beginning of each session to assist students in starting their studies at UOW College. While orientation is not compulsory, it is strongly recommended.

Students will receive an email at least 6 weeks prior to the start of the session with details of how to register for orientation and the session details.

For Domestic Students: 

You can enrol in your subjects before the session starts. Visit our New Student Enrolment page for valuable tips and assistance with the enrolment process. Alternatively, go straight to online enrolment

For International Students: 

Online enrolment before the session is not available for international students. Enrolment will be facilitated during the orientation session when you arrive.

Vocational Education and Training

If you are enrolling in any of the following courses, follow the step-by-step guide below.

  • Certificate IV in Ageing Support (CHC43015)
  • Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30321)
  • Certificate IV in Fitness (SIS40221)
  • Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121)
