Block delivery model

What is the Block Delivery model?

From Autumn 2026 onward, Block delivery will apply to a number of UOW College courses at both Wollongong and Liverpool campuses. Block delivery will apply to the following courses for domestic students with an offer to start studying in Autumn 2026:

  • University Entrance Program (all streams)
  • Diploma of Business Standard Session (first session of the 3-session diploma only)
  • Diploma of Arts, Social Science and Humanities Standard Session (first session of the 3-session diploma only)
  • Diploma of Information Technology Standard Session (first session of the 3-session diploma only)
  • Diploma of Engineering Standard Session (first session of the 3-session diploma only)
  • Diploma of Medical and Health Sciences Standard Session (first session of the 3-session diploma only)
  • Diploma of Science Standard Session (first session of the 3-session diploma only)

  • Two subjects at a time: For each of your 6-week sessions you will study two subjects* at a time, ensuring a deeper understanding of your subject and a more manageable workload. By concentrating on fewer subjects, students can dedicate their attention to mastering each one, leading to improved learning outcomes.
  • Experienced teachers: Our teachers bring years of expertise in their fields, offering insights and guidance tailored to your academic journey.
  • Student support: We are committed to providing excellent support to our students, and participating in the block delivery pilot ensures that this support is adequate.
  • Creating new opportunity: This pilot has been developed by experts based on feedback from students. Now, it's your turn to experience a new learning environment.

*Students in UEP Streams 2 & 3; Diploma of Engineering; Diploma of Science; and Diploma of Medical Health Sciences have three subjects in Block A only.
