Safety and support during your homestay

The families that you stay with have all been approved as registered host families with UOW College Homestay. To ensure students safety and welfare UOW College has in place a suite of robust policies & procedures. UOW College has a dedicated list of support staff that can assist students with any issues that arise during their stay with host families.

UOW College Homestay is located in Building 30 on the University of Wollongong campus.

Student advisors can help you with any concerns or problems. Whether it’s course related, personal or host family related our student advisors can help or assist you in getting the appropriate support. If your situation requires early attention, please see a student advisor immediately.

UOW Security operates in Wollongong 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year. The unit responds to the Wollongong Campus, Innovation Campus and Student Accommodation and business activity across Wollongong.

UOW Security Operations Centre is located in Northfields Avenue at Building 72.

UOW Security’s role is to protect people and property on University properties. The unit does monitor the safety of people in the immediate surrounds of the campuses through the SafeZone app.
