UOW College has formed a unique partnership with Cricket NSW to launch the NSW College of Sport. This exciting new initiative is ideal for students wanting to transform a passion for sport into a professional career.
The NSW College of Sport will deliver a dual diploma program — the SIS50321 Diploma of Sport and the BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management — designed to equip students with the skills and experience needed to thrive in the sports and recreation industries.
Located at Cricket Central in Sydney Olympic Park, the NSW College of Sport will offer students access to world-class facilities while gaining two nationally recognised qualifications in sport, leadership, and management. This collaboration brings together UOW College’s reputation for quality education and the sporting legacy of Cricket NSW, the largest sporting organisation in New South Wales.
“This partnership with Cricket NSW to establish the NSW College of Sport is about creating opportunities for students who love sport,” says Felix Lanceley, General Manager of UOW College Australia. “Whether they are future professional athletes or passionate about sports leadership and management, this is where students will prosper through education while having access to the elite training facilities at the Cricket NSW head office.”

Learn from industry leaders
Courses at the NSW College of Sport will be taught by professionals with real-world experience in coaching, sport development, athlete performance, and business leadership. Students will complete 80 hours of practical experience through placements with leading sports and leisure organisations, gaining real-world insights and building valuable industry connections.
“Students will have the opportunity to learn from a broad range of experts across the sport and recreation industries brought to life at the home of New South Wales’ largest sporting organisation,” says Lee Germon, Chief Executive Officer of Cricket NSW.
The dual qualifications will provide a strong foundation for future university study or a career in roles such as High Performance Coach, Sport Development Manager, Talent Manager, Operations Supervisor, Project Coordinator and Sports Marketer.
The first cohort of students will commence in February 2026. Read more about the NSW College of Sport here.
