REQUIREMENTS TO PROGRESS TO A UOW COLLEGE HIGHER EDUCATION DIPLOMA COURSE

DIPLOMA OF BUSINESS

Students with offers for a B Business or a B Commerce degree at UOW who do not meet the subject requirements for direct entry to their degree course may qualify for entry to a UOW College higher education Diploma of Business (3 or 2 session). Students who pass all Diploma subjects qualify for the award of the Diploma and entry into the second year of a B Business or B Commerce degree at UOW with 48 points of credit.

DIPLOMA OF ENGINEERING

Students with an offer for a B Engineering degree at UOW who do not meet the subject requirements for direct entry to their degree course may qualify for entry to a UOW College higher education Diploma of Engineering (3 session). Students who pass all Diploma subjects qualify for the award of the Diploma and entry into the second year of a B Engineering degree at UOW with 48 points of credit. Diploma entry requirements from FSP are set out below:

DIPLOMA OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY 

Students with offers for a B Business Information Systems or a B Computer Science or a B Information Technology degree at UOW who do not meet the subject requirements for direct entry to their degree course may qualify for entry to a UOW College higher education Diploma of Information Technology (3 or 2 session). From Stream 3: Students with B Engineering offers

  • There is one intake session (session one) only for the Diploma of Engineering - UOW College Summer Session
  • Entry to the Diploma of Engineering is by arrangement with UOW College and the UOW Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences
  • Students can commence the Diploma of Engineering in session two (UOW Autumn Session) if they apply for and receive credit for prior learning for the session one subjects DENG001 Principles of Physics for Engineers, DENG002 Enabling Mathematics and DIPU001 Tertiary Academic Studies, and the session two subject DIPU002 Tertiary Academic Studies 2
  •  Students seeking entry to the Diploma of Engineering should contact a College Student Advisor following the release of College results. 

DIPLOMA OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (2 AND 3 SESSION) - WOLLONGONG CAMPUS

  • There is one intake session (session one) only for the Diploma of Information Technology (3 Session) - the UOW College Summer Session
  • There is one intake session (session one) only for the Diploma of Information Technology (2 Session) - the UOW Autumn Session 

From Stream 2: On completion of all subjects for students with B Business Information Systems or B Information Technology offers
